When I first went to zocalo ~5 years ago, the coffee wasn't good. The food was mediocre. It has changed so much post-pandemic. Pastries and prepared foods are really solid -- quiche is really good. Coffee is very good (but not amazing). The best thing about zocalo is that it really embraces its surrounding neighborhood. It's great for working, has a dedicated kids area, and hosts night time events -- which the neighborhood has largely been lacking. Very happy to have zocalo as the local coffee spot.

Had a long wait before a flight so I stopped by Zocalo and I'm so glad that I did! The baristas were kind and helpful, the coffee shop is spacious with many different seating areas and spaces, plenty of outlets and people working, and even a little corner for kids to play and read. I bought a bag of their coffee beans and got a free cup of coffee included! If you're in the area check them out

Love it here It totally has the old school coffee house vibe and eacho. With the old wood and metal is plant life giving the room a hit of green. There is a space for everyone. We have the cafe table for folk to sit and talk they have the high tables that folks are working from. They even have a small area for the kiddos to play. It gives true community gathering location. Oh and did I mention the coffee and food options are awesome

I had intense cravings for biscuit breakfast sandwich, and searched everywhere for one that would open at 7am, and finally found zocalo. While I've been to zocalo before (their iced mocha is sooo good), I didn't know they had served this on their breakfast menu! The biscuit was falling apart and lacking a bit of butter, but otherwise the sandwich was stacked and I had to take off one of the breads so I can even take a bite into it! One of the downsides is that it was a little expensive, around $16 for the sandwich & fresh berries including the add-on avocado upcharge. I'd still come back if I wanted to treat myself, but pricey enough where I would maybe eat breakfast beforehand and just come for a coffee!

(Ryan Reynolds voiceover) The vibe is sophisticated café on Bancroft! Nolan warmly greeted us. He recommended the Creme Brulée Latte. My gosh! It was creme de la creme of lattes! Soo much like a dessert! The Borja Latte was the perfect level of orange. Sooooo nice! The Roast Beef Sandwich w/ Bacon is what make men men. The syntax is excruciating but the sandwich is exquisite! The salad side was the perfect gourmet touch! It the perfect place to get some creative work done! Like writing or going over comic book panels (which I did). My gosh l, this place rocks! Thanks, Nolan! We'll be back! Woohoo!

Fun local coffee house that has a good sized seating area and some good eats to choose from. Nice and efficient staff as well. My only gripe which has nothing to do with Zocalo, is why people setup shop at a table and then go sit and hang out at a completely different table with their friends...Just move your stuff and free up a table! Plus of course those that refuse to bus their own table...it's not difficult to do.

Best cafe I've ever studied at. No cafe has ever been as good of an experience to study at than this one because of its rotating brunch/dinner menus, ample seating, great pastry selection and craftsmanship, and quality/fun coffee options! There's a lot of variation in lighting, so you can tailor the vibe to your liking. The first time I came, I studied for a couple hours and they had live music at night. Seeing the community come together to support small artists and local businesses was a phenomenal experience. They even had a children's area! Place has two good bathrooms as well. 10/10 hands and feet down.

Got the white chocolate mocha which was good. Drink it fast while its warm because the white chocolate settles at the bottom making the last few sips super sweet. They also offer food and beer options here which is nice creating more of a social environment. Lots of seating inside too and they have a small kids play area in the back. Staff are friendly all around. May not be the best place if you want a quiet work place as it was pretty busy on a Sunday afternoon when I went. Just bring noise cancelling headphones! A good place to grab a bite with friends or to hang out though.

Came in on a weekday afternoon and there were a lot of people working on their laptops. They offer free wifi, which is a great perk. Parking is street parking on a street with a lot of shops, which could get busy. My parking spot only allowed me to stay for 3 hours. They have a little kiddie area which is super cute. Moms will bring in their kids, which can get loud, but that is pretty infrequent. Food was not bad but nothing to write home about. Overall, it was not a bad place to do some work.
